Head Coach of the TSI World Bracknell Bees Doug Sheppard has secured the services of Adam Goss for the 2020/21 NIHL National Season.

The 25 year old shot stopper came to the Bees last summer securing his first senior starting role. Through the course of the season, despite his campaign being disrupted by injury, he grew into the role and was one of the form netminders across the league as the run in hotted up.

Born in Coventry Adam learned his hockey in his home town, making his senior debut in 2011/12 with a single appearance backing up the Coventry Blaze.

With a solid junior career behind him Adam was selected for both GB Under 18s and GB Under 20s in 2012/13, returning good stats for both squads.

Adam would go on to represent Team GB Under 20s for two further years before heading overseas to continue his development in the American Collegiate Hockey Association. He spent three successful seasons with Mercyhurst University.

In 2018/19 Adam returned home and took the backup spot at Milton Keynes Lightning in their final Elite League season ahead of a summer playing ice hockey with Canterbury Red Devils in the NZIHL and finally joining the Bees in the summer of 2019. In recognition of his first season in black, white and gold, Adam was recognised as the AVSS School Zone Inspirational Player of the Year.

Head Coach Doug Sheppard spoke of his latest signing; “We’re thrilled to have Adam back next season. As soon as Gossy settled in as a regular starting netminder he proved himself as one of the league’s top goalies. No question Adam played a huge part with us finishing the abrupt season as the in form team.

On returning to the Bees Adam Goss said; “I’m excited to be back in black, white and gold for another year and build upon the success we had in the second half of last season. The team glued down the stretch last year and our performances became a lot more consistent. With Doug looking to build and even stronger line up I’m really looking forward to seeing what we can achieve in the 2020/2021 season.”

Adam stands at 5’10 and weighs 163lbs. He catches left handed.
