The TSI World Bees Ice Hockey Club would like to reach out and wish all our supporters a very Happy Festive Season.

This year has been a great disappointment to many both in and out of the ice hockey world. Following the closure of John Nike Leisuresport Complex we were delighted to be welcomed to Slough Ice Arena as our new home venue. It’s been nothing but frustrating that we’ve not yet been able to get our first season in our new home underway.

As a bit of festive good news EIHA plans are well advanced now in getting competitive ice hockey restarted as soon as it is possible to do safely and within government guidelines.

We at the Bees are also playing our part. It’s sadly likely that we will be starting in our new home behind closed doors and won’t be able to welcome supporters to the rink until such time as government guidance allows. However we can confirm that we are soon to have our new internet installed at the rink allowing us to stream home games once we can get the season back underway.

Head Coach Doug Sheppard said; “I know how frustrating it’s been for me and the team that despite attaining our Elite status, guidance has to date stopped the season from getting underway. We have however been busy making full use of the Elite status and also getting things prepared behind the scenes so that when the time comes we’ll be able to hit the ice ready to go.

“I’d like to thank our amazing supporters for the strong support we continue to receive. It’s been a tough year for the fans as the 19/20 season ended early and the 20/21 season still hasn’t started and in between we’ve moved home but the team and I are raring to go and we’re confident we’ll have everything in place by the time we get the green light from the EIHA and DCMS.”

The Bees Directors, Stuart, Katie, Paul, Richard and Doug all unite to thank supporters for their patience and ongoing support and take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
