The TSI World Bees are delighted to make our second announcement of the day as forward, Aidan Doughty, returns to the Bees!

Aidan will be joining the club for his second spell having previously iced for the Bees between 2018 and 2020. In that spell he made 88 appearances and notched 68 points (35+33).

Aidan’s junior development was on the Isle of Wight with the Wightlink who he would go on to make his senior debut with in 2010/2011. In 2013, Aidan would make the move to the states and to the WSHL where he would spend a season a-piece with Boulder Jr. Bison, Colorado RoughRiders and Superior RoughRiders where he would score 75 points in 110 appearances across his three years. On his return to the UK, he would go on to play for the Wightlink Raiders, Solent Devils and Streatham before his first spell with the Bees in 2018. Aidan has spent the past 2 season in Basingstoke – leading the National League in powerplay goals in 2021/22 with 15.

In his senior career to date, Aidan has racked up 267 points in 310 appearances (130+137).

On signing for the Bees; Aidan had the following message for the Bees fans:

Hi Bees fans,

I hope your all well! it’s good to be back next season I’m really looking forward to put on a Bees jersey again. Speaking with Dom I think next season we have a real chance to push for trophies and I can’t wait to be a part of that!

Have a good summer and I’ll see everyone in September.

On today’s double signing of Aidan Doughty and Brendan Baird, head coach Dominik Gabaj added:

The signings of Brendan and Aidan are important because they are top guys in the locker room and are familiar with the Bees!

Brendan is a great hard working defenseman, who will leave his all on the ice.

Aidan, I am glad he is on pace to be fully recovered from his injury come September and he will be a huge part of the team as one of the best power forwards in the league.

I am happy that both of them are coming back to the Bees and that makes me even more excited about the next season.

So, both Aidan and Brendan are IN for 2023/2024 and you can be too. Get your season tickets by CLICKING HERE
