Jamie will be forever know as the father of the Bees. A player from the early days back in Bracknell.  He came to the Bees with an excellent pedigree, having previously played for Durham, Nottingham and Solihull.  He also represented Great Britain on a number of occasions as well.

From the first puck drop at the hive, he was instantly a fan favourite, with his smooth skating and scoring ability.

During his career with the Bees he amassed a huge 334 Goals, 410 Assists and 271 minutes in penalties.

He had a vision when the team first started that he wanted the Bees to get into Britain’s top league in these days it was called The Heineken Premier Division, which he achieved in 1991.

He was also John Nike OBE’s  first appointment as coach, where he recruited a role he did for only a few seasons.  When the Bees went with a Bench Coach.  Jamie still remained as a player for team, whilst still working at the Ice Rink.

Throughout his whole playing career at the Bees he remained a true hero of the team.  He was a very much respected player throughout the leagues and was an excellent leader on and off the ice.  He was always approachable off the ice and always made time to chat to the supporters.

Once his playing career was over he crossed to the dark side where he became an official, a role where he received as much respect as he had when he played.
