With just four regular season games left now to secure a play off spot every game is crucial for the TSI World Bracknell Bees and this week they have face the same opponents that made up last weekend’s double home weekend but this time as part of a double road weekend.

The weekend starts at Sapphire Ice and Lesiure in Romford where the Raiders, current holders of eighth place, will be waiting. The season series belongs to the Raiders so for the Bees to beat their Saturday opponents to a play off spot they need to finish above them in the points table.

The Bees ran out heartbreakingly on the wrong side of an overtime result last Saturday and while all the games are important to take points from on the run in Saturday’s is possibly the most important. A win for Raiders on Saturday gives them a prime position, only needing to secure a minimum further OT loss across their remaining three games to secure their place.

On Sunday the Bees head north to Sheffield to face the Steeldogs. The seventh placed team will be looking to overturn the 7-1 defeat they finished with last Sunday at the Hive which also saw the Bees’ scoring chase the starting goaltender from the net.

While Sunday’s wasn’t the Yorkshire side’s finest showing they will still have in the back of their minds they overtime defeat they inflicted on the league leading Telford Tigers the previous evening.

With three out of the available four points last weekend secured by the Bees and Sunday being an emphatic win, Doug Sheppard’s men will head into the away weekend in good spirits and belief that they can still secure the eighth spot in the table.

Head Coach Doug Sheppard spoke of the weekend; “We get one more shot at the Raiders on Saturday. It’s simple, we have to win to keep our playoff hopes alive.

Bees are on the road both days this weekend, Saturday in Romford, and Sunday in Sheffield ahead of the final weekend of the regular season the following weekend, home and away against the Bison.
