The TSI World Berkshire Bees are delighted to announce the appointment of Ashley Tait to the role of associate coach.

With a career spanning 30+ seasons Tait brings a wealth of experience to the club having played most notably for the Nottingham Panthers, Coventry Blaze and Sheffield Steelers, Tait also represented Great Britain over 100 times ranking him 5th in All Time Appearances.

At the back end of his career he was named Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations at the Basingstoke Bison, roles he held for 4 years.

On joining the Bees Ashley, had this to say:

“This has taken a while to happen but I’m excited to be back involved in hockey and looking forward to working with Dom and everyone else at the club.

There’s obviously work to be done but I know Shep and Dom have been working hard behind the scenes and I’m looking forward to helping build on that.”

Director of Hockey Operations Doug Sheppard had this to say on bringing in the highly respected former player:

“I know Ash on a personal level and believe he will be the perfect fit to bring in as Associate Head Coach. I’m confident that him and Dom will work well together, this will allow Dom to focus more on playing on the weekends.

Ash has great leadership qualities and will bring structure and accountability to our game.”
