The TSI World Berkshire Bees are pleased to announce the signing of Ty Cathcart for the 2024/2025 season.

Ty joins the Bees full time having made 27 appearances across 2 seasons with the side and collected his first point for the club in a game last season. The former Basingstoke Bison junior joins the Bees following 3 successful seasons with the Slough Jets.

Bees Head Coach, Dominik Gabaj, was pleased to get his man and had this to say:

I’m happy to see Ty taking a step to be full time player with us. He is a young player that has been with us for last 2 years on a two way and I think he has got a potential to be an effective defenceman in our league.

On joining the Bees, Ty had this to say:

I’m really excited and can’t wait to get the season started with the new Berkshire Bees. In previous seasons I played an introductory role, playing with other organisations, this was to make sure I could be as prepared as possible to take the next step.

My time with the Bees the last two years has been so good. Everyone…supporters, Graeme, Bees staff, all the players, Shep and Dom have made me feel very much a part of the team and have been so supportive of my development and offered great advice.

Adding such experienced coaching in Ash, now, when taking that next step, there was never a doubt when given the opportunity that there was only one place for me and I can’t wait to pull on the awesome new Jersey and start the season.
