The TSI World Berkshire Bees are delighted to announce a new player development partnership with the Streatham RedHawks of NIHL South 1.
The pathway is designed to allow players from the RedHawks to continue there development into the National League with the Bees with an exclusivity deal between the clubs meaning they will only allow players to sign 2 way deals with the Bees.
On the new partnership, Berkshire Bees Director of Hockey Doug Sheppard said:
“Player development is crucial for the game of hockey to grow in the UK.
This partnership is a great way for younger players to train at a higher level and gives them the opportunity to get game time playing at the appropriate level.
In return some of our experienced players will go the other way due to commitments and will help push the youngsters on to the next level. Streatham have been very successful in recent years and have produced some excellent talent, I’d like to thank Ben Paynter for his support in putting this partnership together.”
In return to the Bees will provide the Streatham line up with players who are looking to step down due to work and life commitments. As the first step in this new partnership the Bees can announce that Brendan Baird and Aidan Doughty will move to the Streatham High Road as they are no longer able to commit to a National League schedule.
The TSI World Berkshire Bees can also announce at this time that two Streatham players will be joining the black and yellow on 2 way deals for the 2024/2025 season, we will be announcing who the players are tomorrow night.
