The TSI World Berkshire Bees are delighted to announce that Josh Poole has signed a two-way deal with the club.
Josh is another player benefitting from the development pathway with the Cardiff Canucks – becoming the third player to sign a two-way deal between the two teams.
Josh featured in our game on the weekend, putting in a man of the match display in our pre-season challenge match up with the Milton Keynes Lightning.
Originally signed on a one-game basis ahead of Sunday’s game; the 16-year-old’s impressive performance saw the deal extended for the 2024/2025 season.
On the signing of Poole, Bees Coach Ashley Tait said:
I think getting Josh is great for the club. We know there’s a shortfall with younger players and we got a glimpse of what he can do on his first shift. To get access to him is a really positive step for us and as Sunday’s game went on, I think he was good value for his increased ice time. I’m really looking forward to working with him.
Cardiff Canuck’s head coach, Trevor Hendrikx, had the following to say on the deal:
“We’re extremely proud of Josh. He was given an opportunity and he’s made the most of it. As a club, it’s very exciting to see the pathway with the Bees working so well. Having three players signed up now on two ways, who are playing meaningful minutes at the national level is a real statement to our commitment to development”
