We have reached that point where we are coming to the end of 2023 and the TSI World Bees prepare themselves to take on the Bristol Pitbulls in a double header for their last games in 2023. The Bees will take the trip to Planet Ice Bristol on Saturday evening to take on the Pitbulls, and then welcome them to the Slough Ice Arena on Sunday at 3:30pm.

The Bristol Pitbulls find themselves sat in last place within the league standings with 15 points after winning 6 games, losing 18 games and taking 3 games to overtime but fell short to take the 2 points. Bristol are going into this weekend after a loss at home to the Swindon Wildcats on Wednesday evening.Bristol will be going into this weekend wanting to build off of their recent success against the Swindon Wildcats after winning at the Link Centre earlier in the week.

Their power play unit is roughly 25% effective compared to Bees’ who is around 21% and their penalty kill unit is around 71% effective and will be something the Bees will need to try to break past to try to improve their power play percentage going into the new year.

There have been a total of 976 shots on goal against their netminding duo this season and are currently averaging 39 shots on goal against them per game. The Pitbulls have managed to have a total of 804 shots on goal against opposing teams netminders and are having around 32 shots on goal per game. There have been 6 short-handed goals scored against the Bees this season, but they have managed to score a total of 3 short-handed goals that have been scored by Tanner Butler and Adam Harding.

Going into this weekend the Bees will need to watch out for Sean Morris, who has a total of 7 points from 1 goal and 6 assists. He is able to fill a physical role for the Pitbulls that if anything were to start to get out of hand in a game, he would willingly jump in to defend a teammate or try to calm a situation, and while doing this is also a key part of the Pitbulls’ being able to push the puck into the offensive zone. Another player to watch out for is Bayleu Harewood who is currently the top point scorer within the Bristol roster with 26 points from 8 goals and 18 assists. He is a big part of creating opportunities for the Pitbulls and will also like Sean be a massive part of the Pitbulls pushing into the offensive zone to create more chances.
