Head Coach of the TSI World Bees Ice Hockey Club Doug Sheppard today announces the next two players to commit to the team for the 20/21 NIHL National Season. As the club continues to follow the guidance of the Government and the EIHA goaltender Danny and forward Zack Milton put pen to paper for the upcoming season.

27 year old Danny will return for his fourth season and has been a vital part of our goaltending duo since stepping up from the Hornets in 2017/18. Last season Danny formed an excellent partnership with Adam Goss and was unlucky that, when his time came due to Adam’s injury, Danny also picked up an injury that saw him sidelined from the team. Such was Danny’s tenacity though that he played through injury to give the team quality goaltending while Adam Goss recovered from his injury.

The 6 foot goaltender is no stranger to our new home having learned his hockey in Slough as well as backing stopping the then ENL Jets to success in ENL2.

Brother Zack enjoyed his first full season in Bees colours last season and was also noticed for and selected by Great Britain Under 20s.

Zack is a player with a knowledge for the game and knows the right places to be to make the most of his skill.

Zack also first learned his hockey in Slough before making the move to Bracknell. It was in the 2017/18 season that Bracknell first saw signs of Zack’s scoring abilities with 24 points returned from 20 games. The following season he made his Bees debut as Doug Sheppard first blooded him into the senior team. He scored 11+7 from 38 games earning him a full time Bees contact for 19/20.

Last season Zack scored 9+30 for the Bees and scored for Great Britain in the Under 20 World Championships.

Danny Milton commented on his signing; “I’m glad to be back with the Bees and doing my part for the team this year. Since playing most of my career out of Slough, I’m looking forward to it being my home rink again.”

Brother Zack Milton shared his thoughts on his return; “Really excited to be back with the Bees for next season. I think I really found my role and progressed as a player last season and hope to keep progressing this season and help the Bees however I can.”

Head Coach Doug Sheppard spoke after re-signing the brothers; “Danny is as reliable as any backup in the league, as a group we’re more than confident in Danny’s ability to lighten Gossy’s work-load if needed. No question Zack has made big strides in his development over the past two seasons. He still has a way to go to reach his full potential. I believe Zack could be as good as any power forward at this level.”

Danny Milton stands 6’0 and weighs 183lbs. He catches left handed. Zack Milton is also 6’0 and weighs 187lbs. He shoots left handed.
