Head Coach, Dominik Gabaj, has doubled the number of players announced for the 2023/2024 season at last night’s end of season presentation awards.

Vanya Antonov returns to the Bees for the upcoming season, signing on a deal from Streatham. Vanya came through the junior ranks in Bracknell before making his senior debut in 2013/2014. He would spend 3 seasons with the Bees before heading down the M3 to Basingstoke but would return again in 2018. The past 3 seasons, Vanya has been playing for Streatham in NIHL 1 South, guesting on occasions for the Bees in each of those seasons. He’s iced a total of 171 games for Bees, scoring 78 goals with 110 assists for a points total of 188.

The second announcement of the evening was the newly crowned player’s player of the season, Dan Rose – signing up for the upcoming season. Dan will be playing in his second successive full season having signed last season – a season in which he notched 26 points in 50 games – 9 goals and 17 assists.

Fresh off the back of winning the most improved and coach’s player of the year awards at last night’s event, Will Stead was the final signing announcement of the evening. Will enjoyed his most successful season in senior hockey – averaging just over a point per game with 54 points (15+39) in 53 games. Those stats even more impressive after spending the season often stepping in the role of defence man.

The three signings join the three previously announced signings:

Player / Head Coach, Dominik Gabaj will be heading into his fourth season in Bees colours but his first full season as head coach. He will be looking to extend his points tally further having already tallied 229 points in 127 games – 101 goals and 126 assists.

After his most successful season in the points column, Stuart Mogg is back next season. An ever-present on the Bees blue line last season, the D-Man registered an impressive 33 points – finding the net on 5 occasions and registering 28 assists.

After his 500th senior appearance in February, Mogg’s fellow D-man, Harvey Stead, will be adding to his impressive appearance tally next season. Voted as the defenceman of the season at last night’s end of season awards, Harvey racked up 28 points last season with 5 goals and 23 assists.

So… Gabaj, Mogg, Antonov, Rose and the Stead brothers WILL BEE THERE for the 2023/2024 season… WILL YOU?
