The TSI World Bracknell Bees played Telford Tigers home and away in what promised to be a tough, entertaining weekend.

`The first period played out scoreless despite 19 combined shots but at 22.09 Joh Smith scored a powerplay goal to open the scoring. Josh Ealey-Newman netted at 24.18 to double the advantage before Ricky Plant scored at 36.10 to pull it back to 2-1. An almost instant response from the Bees saw Roman Malinik re-open the two goal gap at 37.07 but Tigers narrowed the gap again at 37.35 through Jack Watkins.
A shorthanded goal from Adam Taylor saw the teams locked at 3-3 at 41.25 but unanswered goals from Josh Smith (43.15) and James Gallazi (PP at 47.54) saw Bees run out winners on their home ice.

For their second game of the weekend the Bees made the journey to Shropshire for the second meeting of the weekend with the Tigers.

It was the home team on the board first when Jason Silverthorn scored a powerplay goal at 14.50 but Dominik Gabaj equalised at 18.12. Silverthorn’s second, at 19.06, sent the teams to the interval with Telford holding a single goal lead.
A scoreless second period set up a tense third period which didn’t disappoint. Harvey Stead scored at 47.52 with a powerplay goal levelling the game. Despite a period of Tigers pressure at the end of regulation time the game headed to overtime.
Early advantage in overtime went to the Tigers but Adam Goss kept the Bees in the game with a number of good saves before Dominik Gabaj netted his second which was also the game winner at 63.02
